It keeps it toasty inside even on a cool spring night. ![]() The lambs are growing fast. They like to race around the barn yard. They will be let out to play on the hill in a couple of weeks. We are waiting for the grass to grow before opening the gate to the pasture for the day. ![]() Chickens have arrived as well and soon we will have eggs. ![]() It is a busy time on the farm as spring is coming and so are the lambs. So far we have had seven born in the last two days with more on the way. The nursery is filling up with pens throughout the barn to house the mothers and their new offspring. So far we have one set of triplets and two sets of twins. Six more ewes are patiently waiting for their turn as we check on them during the day and into the night wondering who will be next. Soon they will all be let out of the barn and the gate will be opened up to the pasture as the weather warms up. If you drive by in the next couple of weeks look for them playing on the hill enjoying spring. |
